Annotation Publication/201895/25 (Ex 2.1_GF)  Vote no - Gabriella, these sentences look pretty good, though there are some adjustments to be made. The morphology tags were missing for the last two sentences; you'll also want to see to that. There's no need to send these back for another round; the gold standard is posted online. Make your changes and then compare. Happy to talk through any remaining questions! September 06, 2018 21:52

Annotation Publication/2018831/26 (EX 2.2_AK)  Vote yes - Nice work, Adrian. I don't need to see any further changes, but do note that hominis should hang from the coordinator sed in sentence 6. September 08, 2018 12:19

Annotation Publication/201897/12 (Ex 1.3__AB)  Vote no - Andrew, I apologize that I didn't get this before class (The typo in the label--1.3 instead of 3.1--led me to think that it was a reprise of an older assignment.) Please let me know if you have any further questions. Otherwise, there's no need to resubmit, as you have the gold standard on our CP page. September 08, 2018 12:37
Annotation Publication/201896/2 (review3_ah)  Vote yes - Looks good, Anthony. I didn't catch on the first round that quidem needs adjustment (adverb modifying interfecto in particular or a sentence adverbial giving emphasis to the whole statement?). No need to resubmit! September 08, 2018 12:39

Annotation Publication/201899/14 (PM25_GF)  Vote no - Gabriella, the structure of your tree looks good, as do the labels but you forgot to select JMH's Latin Tagset when you made the tree. To fix this, download the XML and then go to create a new treebank from the home page. Choose your settings (Latin, JMH treebank) BEFORE you upload your XML and it should change the tagset and you'll be able to relabel. On a separate note, try to be a bit more thorough in your work: you've left out plura and several words are missing tags or morphology. September 10, 2018 13:39

Annotation Publication/201896/5 (Ex 3.2_MB)  Vote yes - Good work, Monique. A final change you may want to make: quidem is a sentence adverbial (AuxY), which is essentially what you are saying by labeling it as ADV_CO and hanging it from the comma so that it applies to all of the coordinated phrases. September 11, 2018 22:36

Annotation Publication/2018919/5 (PM_44__AB)  Vote no - Looks good, Andrew. Just a few corrections. Take a look also at the commentary on post...quam. (There is another way to construe the clause, but the way you have it is grammatical as well.) September 19, 2018 16:40

Annotation Publication/2018917/11 (PM 45_IE)  Vote no - Two minor changes, Isabella. I'm going to go ahead and post the link on coursepress, but you should still resubmit so that I can officially approve it September 20, 2018 19:40
Annotation Publication/2018918/3 (PM43_MB)  Vote no - Nice job Monique. Just two changes. September 21, 2018 12:44
Annotation Publication/2018918/22 (PM 49_AK)  Vote no - Nice work Adrian. The last two sentences are quite tricky. Concentrate on getting the main clause straight, and then identify how the subordinate branches relate to the elements of the main clause. September 21, 2018 15:51

Annotation Publication/2018922/14 (ProMilone_46_AH_draft4)  Vote no - Just this last comment on sentence 2, which I think got lost in the other comments from the last round: si as the subordinating conjunction will govern ni and the nouns in apposition. For the sake of consistency, use the , between Patinam and familiarissimum to balance the apposition. (Using another word will create trouble in other situations.) September 23, 2018 23:19
Annotation Publication/2018922/14 (ProMilone_46_AH_draft4)  Vote yes - Great! Thanks for your diligence, Anthony. September 23, 2018 23:36

Annotation Publication/2018925/22 (PM_50_TM)  Vote no - nice work Tyler. Some corrections to make throughout: when a main verb is subjunctive, you need to use the secondary PRED menu to say what use of the independent subjunctive we have. Also, whenever you have words or stems coordinated by ET/-QUE that share a modifier, that modifier will hang from the COORD and receive a secondary _CO tag. September 28, 2018 13:01
Annotation Publication/2018927/7 (PM48_MK)  Vote no - Hi Max. I think it would be productive for us to go through these sentences together this afternoon and make the corrections. I'm sending it back w/o comments so that we can use your account and save the changes. September 28, 2018 13:05
Annotation Publication/2018927/3 (Pro Milone 51)  Vote no - Hi Matthew, These are in pretty good shape. Only a few corrections to make. Let me know if treebanking relative clauses is still unclear after reading through the comments and we can discuss in person. September 28, 2018 15:27
Annotation Publication/2018924/11 (PM_56_IE)  Vote no - Hi Isabella, your work here is done--thanks for acting so far in advance. I do want to point out one grammar point to you, though: sic... ut indicative = comparative clause BUT sic... ut subjunctive = result clause. September 28, 2018 21:38
Annotation Publication/2018925/22 (PM_50_TM)  Vote no - Hi Tyler, go ahead and make any adjustments you'd like following our discussion in class and then resubmit. Feel free to email me if you don't understand a comment. September 28, 2018 21:44

Annotation Publication/2018929/15 (cite/perseus/lattb.8024.1)  Vote yes - Hi Duncan, other students have asked me about these sentences, so I'm going to go ahead and accept and make the changes necessary to post a gold standard. Be sure to look over the new treebank and let me know if you have any questions about why it is the way it is. Thanks, J September 29, 2018 15:22

Annotation Publication/2018923/11 (PM 53_PS)  Vote no - This really is a terrible sentence! But you are doing good work, Paige. I was a bit more thorough in my comments this time, so be sure you read through all of the sentences and comments. There were a couple of places where the case was wrong--make sure you go back and fix this in the morphology tab too. September 29, 2018 18:26

Annotation Publication/2018928/4 (cite/perseus/lattb.8013.1)  Vote yes - For the sake of efficiency, I'm going to make some corrections and post a GS, Mizel. Make sure you go over it carefully to see what changes I've made and let me know if you have questions about them. October 02, 2018 19:52
Annotation Publication/2018103/1 (PM 55)  Vote no - Good start, Andrew. This is a very elliptical passage, so you'll need to add quite a few words in order to show all of the dependencies accurately. Other than that, grammar generally looked good. October 03, 2018 14:06
Annotation Publication/2018103/1 (PM 55)  Vote yes - Nice work, Andrew. 18/20 (A-) October 05, 2018 21:23

Annotation Publication/2018108/7 (PM_61_TM)  Vote no - Great job getting an early start on your section, Tyler! This was a long chunk with some tough spots, and you've already gotten it in pretty good shape. See my comments. There are few punctuation and other small items that I did comment on in this round. Take care of them if you spot them, but otherwise they are minor enough to be overlooked for now. October 09, 2018 22:27

Annotation Publication/2018108/7 (PM_61_TM)  Vote no - Good, Tyler. I think you can polish this section off in one more go if you read through the notes carefully. Annotation Publication/20181014/1 (cite/perseus/lattb.8194.1)  Vote no - A tough first sentence, Mizel. We'll go over it in detail in class. I recommend splitting it in half at the semicolon and adding an elided arbitrabantur. Annotation Publication/20181022/3 (PM_76_AH_draft_2)  Vote yes - All good. 20/20. Look for a few changes in the GS, mostly dealing with coordination formatting. I have an answer for you for apposition vs coordination: strictly defined, apposition is a noun modifying another noun to further describe it. I see your reasoning, but it would introduce unnecessary complications to broaden the definition to include the lists and rephrasings that Cicero is so fond of. I accidentally skipped sentence 3 on my first pass--this is also going to qualify as coord not apos.
