General Annotation Collection/2015223/17 (cite/perseus/pdlann.192.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - Very thorough job. Make sure when you're doing your tags that they're consistent, and follow the list. For instance: "sister" should be "Sister", and "Relation" should be "relation." Only use the given tags (Cassandra should be tagged as Slave, not Prize, because there is no Prize tag). Make sure to redo your Aegisthus annotation. There was an error with the link. He should also be re-tagged as Agamemnon's Enemy, not his Companion, and tagged each time his name appears. Finally, we haven't showed you how to link Places yet. Delete these from your spreadsheet so they can be redone for the next assignment. Good work! March 02, 2015 02:09
General Annotation Collection/2015223/13 (cite/perseus/pdlann.188.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You've done a good job of hitting all of the names, but there are a few problems. First, all of the tags must be consistent, or they will not go through the program properly. The tags "joth" and "relation" are always lowercase. There are also a few mistakes in the annotations: the Julii are descendants, not companions; the Tiber is a river, not the figure Tiberinus, and Titus Tatius would be better marked as "Enemy," not "Companion." Romus is mentioned three times, and you did a good job of picking out each one, but it only refers to Remus once. Celer should not be linked to Ovid's Fasti; if he does not have an entry in Smith's Dictionary, don't worry about linking him. A good start, just be a bit more careful as you read through the entries you're linking. March 02, 2015 03:15
General Annotation Collection/2015223/8 (cite/perseus/pdlann.183.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You've done a good, thorough job. Make sure that all the tags are consistent with the original list (example: Mother, not mother), or else the program will not be able to read them correctly. Your annotations also aren't linked properly. The Stable ID needs to go with the person whose name you are annotating, not the hero. So if you highlight Odysseus, you go into Smith's Dictionary to find the Odysseus entry, and use the Stable ID from that entry, which is odysseus-bio-1 in this case. Finally, places have different Stable IDs and we haven't shown you how to locate them, so be sure to delete these from your spreadsheet so they can be reloaded properly later. All in all, a good start. March 02, 2015 03:27
General Annotation Collection/2015222/2 (cite/perseus/pdlann.174.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - Very nice job! You've been very thorough in annotating this entry. Make sure though that your tags are consistent with the list in the workflow. For instance, "mother" should be "Mother." Also, it looks like you've done the places correctly, but because that is for a different assignment, you'll want to delete them from your spreadsheet and save them separately for now. Excellent work! March 02, 2015 03:31
General Annotation Collection/2015222/1 (cite/perseus/pdlann.173.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - Very nice job--your annotations are very thorough. You seem to have done the places correctly, but because that's for a different assignment, you'll want to delete them from your current spreadsheet and save them to a different one for the moment. If there isn't a dictionary page (such as for Teledamus), don't worry about doing an annotation for that person. We also don't have any tags for the heroine herself, so don't annotate Cassandra in her own entry. Other than that, very well done. March 02, 2015 03:38
General Annotation Collection/201547/4 (cite/perseus/pdlann.214.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You've still got a bit to revise here, but this is a good job. Please make sure to go through your tags and make sure they're valid: "place" and "relation" should not be capitalized. You still have Cassandra and Briseis tagged as "Prize," which isn't a tag Perseids recognized. Make sure to tag them as "Slave." Note also that Chrysothemis is his daughter, not his son, one of Menelaus' annotations is spelled Melelaus, and Clytemnestra is Agamemnon's wife as well as his enemy. Finally, go back to your spreadsheet and recheck your entries for Aulis, Pelopponesus, and Aegisthus--something might be wrong with the way the Stable IDs were entered in your spreadsheet. Overall, nice work on this. April 16, 2015 02:18
General Annotation Collection/2015223/13 (cite/perseus/pdlann.188.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - Very nice work! The one thing you need to change is the Celer annotation. You have it linked to the Fasti, since there is no entry for him in Smith's Dictionary, which is fine, but because it's tagged as "relation," that's what Perseids is looking for. Delete it from your spreadsheet and resubmit. You can keep the annotation on the Smith's Dictionary page, but perhaps change the tag to "citation" rather than "relation." Very good job! General Annotation Collection/2015222/1 (cite/perseus/pdlann.173.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - Very nice job! Just make sure you delete the Cassandra entries from your spreadsheet completely, since we don't have tags for the heroes' relation to themselves. Nice work! April 16, 2015 02:29
General Annotation Collection/201547/3 (cite/perseus/pdlann.213.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You need to fix your annotations. The annotations should be linked back to the Stable ID of the related figure you are annotating, not Ajax. So, for instance, if you highlight Alcibiades' name, you'd find his Smith's Dictionary entry and use his Stable ID, in this case Alcibiades-bio-1. Then you tag the annotation with "joth", "relation" (both lowercase) and "Descendant" (uppercase). All the specific relationships are uppercase (so, "Mother", not "mother" and "Father" not "father") and all the general tags are lowercase (so, "place" and "relation" and "joth"). The Stable URIs for your places have the same problem. They must come from Pleiades. Anna's powerpoint on Trunk can help you go through this step by step to find the Stable URI. You've done a nice, thorough job here--you just need to go back through it. April 16, 2015 02:42
General Annotation Collection/2015222/2 (cite/perseus/pdlann.174.1)  Vote AcceptNoChanges - Very nice job! Very thorough, and all your annotations were done perfectly. Good work! April 17, 2015 15:33
General Annotation Collection/20151014/16 (cite/perseus/pdlann.253.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - Very nice job here--you've been very thorough and generally accurate. There are two mistakes in the annotations. The last Zeus annotation (relationships) is tagged wrong. It should be “relation”, not “person.” The first Ge annotation also has an issue: Ge is the mother of the Eumenides, so the relationship annotation should be “daughter." Other than that, excellent job here! October 27, 2015 16:32
General Annotation Collection/20151016/3 (cite/perseus/pdlann.263.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - Very nice job! You have just two small mistakes. The second-to-last Pluto annotation should just read 'hades-bio-1' and not 'Pluto hades-bio-1' and the Anytus FosterFamilyRelation annotation is not tagged with PSN and relation. Nice work on this! October 29, 2015 02:03
General Annotation Collection/20151014/14 (cite/perseus/pdlann.251.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You've done a good job so far, but you're missing quite a bit. You've only done the relationship annotations so far--you need to do the Person annotations as well. Also, make sure you annotate every instance of the name. So, each time Boreas is mentioned, for instance, you have to annotate him as a person. Finally, the last annotation on the page (I believe it is the first in your spreadsheet) isn't actually annotating anything. Delete this from the page and your spreadsheet. October 29, 2015 02:40
General Annotation Collection/20151014/12 (cite/perseus/pdlann.249.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You've done a generally good job here, there are just a few things to correct. First, there is a typo in the tag in the last Artemis annotation: it should be PSN, not PNS. Second, you've used the longer Stable IDs for the annotations--use the shorter ones instead. For example, instead of A.31.apollo-bio-1, you want to use apollo-bio-1. Finally, the relationship annotations do not seem to be keyed to your text. This may be a bug in hypothes.is, but you may want to go back through them. Nice work here, overall! October 30, 2015 00:42
General Annotation Collection/20151014/16 (cite/perseus/pdlann.253.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - Excellent work! There's only one typo: in the second characterization, the tag is spelled wrong (as charcterzation, rather than characterization). Nice work on this! November 25, 2015 02:05
General Annotation Collection/20151014/12 (cite/perseus/pdlann.249.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You've done a very good job on this! There are just a few things to be fixed: -annotations of Hdt. 2.156 have # in the tags—should just read attestationOf and PSN -1st Hes. Th. 9.18—hypothesis link in the annotation does not exist. -golden-haired χρυσεοβόστρυχον characterization: this appears as an error in the submission, but the annotation itself seems correct. I suspect there is a mistake in your spreadsheet, but I can’t see your spreadsheet. Check that it is set to public, and check that you didn’t make a mistake when you copied the hypothesis link. Nice work overall. November 25, 2015 02:08
General Annotation Collection/20151122/3 (cite/perseus/pdlann.297.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You've been fairly thorough with your annotations. If you would like your submission to be accepted as a final publication, however, there are a number of errors that will have to be corrected: -The 1st annotation in your spreadsheet does not exist on the page—delete it from the spreadsheet -Erectheus annotation: son-in-law isn’t a valid relationship keyword. Please use only the relationship keywords from the list on the instructions page. In this instance, it would be InLawFamilyRelationship. -Phineus annotation: father-in-law is not a valid relationship keyword. It should also be InLawFamilyRelationship. -Make sure your relationship keywords are capitalized properly. Right now they’re all lowercase, but should be uppercase (eg., Son, not son). -Boreades annotation is missing its tags -Oreithyeia is tagged as person, but should be tagged as relationship -The Person annotations are still missing November 25, 2015 02:39
General Annotation Collection/20151121/1 (cite/perseus/pdlann.294.1)  Vote ReturnToRevise - You've been incredibly thorough with this--nice work. There are some things that will need to be fixed should you wish to submit this for the final publication. -The Pluto, (in the sentence “The story of her being carried off by Pluto….”) Persephone (2nd paragraph) and Cora Person annotations are incorrect. Only the Stable ID should go in the body. So: hades-bio-1, not Pluto hades-bio-1. -The Anytas relationship annotation needs to be tagged with relationship and PSN -Artemis (in the last paragraph) should not be annotated as Persephone’s sister. Use the PaternalFamilyRelationship from the first annotation, or don’t annotate. In this context, all of the goddesses listed are identified with Persephone, as different faces of the same goddess. -Hecate should be annotated as Companion, not sister -The second Apollod. 1.5.1 annotation is missing its tags -Relation tags for Styx, Poseidon, Demeter (1st paragraph), Ilades, Erinnyes, and Hippius are capitalized—it should be ‘relation.’ Nice work on this project.
